The GRANDest of Canyons!

It is 11:30 at night and I can't sleep. My tummy is dying a slow death as I write this.

Last night, my dad, my sister, and I drove up to Flagstaff. We woke up at 5 in the morning and drove the rest of the way to the South Rim of the Canyon and started hiking at 7:30! It is mid-May, but it was below freezing at the top of the rim and I thought I would die as I was only wearing shorts and a T-shirt. However, I did not die! In fact, the weather became absolutely amazing the lower in elevation we got. SO beautiful.

We hiked our 17 miles down South Kaibab and up Bright Angel. I really enjoyed myself. I love being in nature so much. I could hear the wind in the trees and the sounds of the river and its off-shooting springs and I felt so much love for our beautiful world. What a lovely place it is!

Now I am sore. And my tummy hurts because I was silly and did not hydrate enough the day before. Dehydration nausea is the worst kind. :( But it was worth it!

I did not bring my camera but here is a super wonderful picture of this most beautiful place!

Love ya'll!

My Husband hiked the Grand Canyon a few years ago. He did the hike that takes like 3 days or something. He loved it and would totally do it again. He said it was tough, but totally worth it. Hope you have fun : )
